On Monday 17th February, the Year 10 Elective History class attended Event Cinemas at Macquarie Centre. They viewed the film September 5, which explored the events of the 1972 Munich Olympics where a broadcasting crew finds itself covering the hostage crisis involving athletes. The movie also integrated real footage of the events. 

Students will be studying History in the Media with a focus on terrorism during Term 2 and September 5 showcased how historical events are broadcasted all over the world through media. The aim of this excursion was to foster curiosity and discussion amongst the class as an introduction to our next topic.
