From the Year 8 Coordinator
What an outstanding start to the year. Year 8 has been busy with lots of events taking place at the College this term.
Opening Mass, the Swimming Carnival, St Patrick's day Celebrations, Harmony day and Project compassion fundraisers. I commend the students for their willingness to participate in all things extra curricular- their positive attitude is fantastic to see.
Year 7 came and went so quickly and student’s are no longer the youngest in the College. The expectations and responsibilities have increased and the boys have taken these on board well. During HCT, the focus has been on anti-bullying, dangers of social media and resilience. The conversations and positive discussions taking place have been great to see.
Year 8 has such a wide range of talents and I congratulate all the students who have signed up for and taken initiative in the College Band, Wolf Gang, Debating, Public Speaking, SCS Touch, Water polo, European handball and Basketball.
Students begin trials this week for SCS Soccer and Rugby League- goodluck to those students.
Congratulations to our new Year 8 student councillors.
