On Monday 10 June, our Holy Cross men represented the College with distinction at the @sydcatholicschools Chess Competition hosted at Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Kensington.

The competition was rigorous with 2 Junior, 3 Intermediate, and 2 Senior Teams, made up of 3 students in each (and one team of 4), with 22 students participating.

Other schools involved included: Randwick, Marist College North Shore, St Clare’s College Waverley, Marcellin College Randwick, St Mary’s Cathedral College, Corpus Christi College Maroubra, Christian Brothers High School Lewisham and our host school of Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Kensington.

Our senior team, comprising Kartikey, Larry, Radin, and Lucas, also took out second place in their division.

Each student conducted himself with merit, displaying excellent sportsmanship, making the College proud.
