FROM THE YEAR 12 COORDINATOR

This has been an extremely busy term for Year 12 as they take every opportunity to learn from their teachers and embrace the opportunities intheir final term of secondary education.
The College Athletics Carnival was such a successful day because of this group’s have a go attitude. Students in Year 12, turned up in great numbers to participate and lead the school in their final College Carnival. A great day was had by all.
Earlier this term, we gathered of Stage 6 students to give them an opportunity to learn about the importance of sleep and educated them on ways sleep can impact our lives. Lisa Maltman, from the Sleep Connection had students complete a sleep diary to observe their patterns of sleep and provided them with ways to create healthy sleep habits. It was so pleasing to see that so many students stayed back afterwards to ask questions and then over the past few weeks here how they have applied what they learnt and have seen improvement to how they feel and their ability to concentrate.
I am extremely proud of this cohort and the way that they approached their final assessment tasks being the HSC Trial Examinations. Students worked collaboratively every day, sharing their understanding of content and helping develop the understanding of others. They showed great dedication, organisation and drive to succeed.
As they complete their last few weeks, I encourage them to work hard and enjoy the celebrations and milestones along the way.
