FROM THE DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING

Term 4 is shaping up to be a busy one for the Wellbeing team. We have the Year 6 Orientation day, where the students spend the day at the College learning about College life and what it means to be a Patrician man. There will be taster lessons for them to participate in to really get the feel of the place. We are looking forward to hosting them here at the College.

In addition, to this, is the Year 10 Transition Assembly. This is where we recognise that the Year 10 students are considered as seniors of the College. This is also a time to thank and recognise the students who are moving on and wish them well in their future endeavours.

Year 8 will be engaging in the ‘Our Futures’ Anti-Vaping program this term. This federally funded program is a preventative measure educating the young people on the dangers of vaping on their health and wellbeing. Mrs Casa and the HCT team will be revisiting the lessons regularly throughout the term. This is an important element of their education and the interactive and informative platform will assist with this message.

Attendance is still a focus for this term. The Year Coordinators and their teams have been working tirelessly this year to ensure that every absence is explained and patterns of school avoidance are broken to reflect positive attendance at the College. If you would like some additional support with this, please reach out to the College so we can see if we can assist you in any way.

The Wellbeing team is working hard on planning 2026 to ensure that there are meaningful lessons that focus on the wellbeing of students and can be drawn upon in the years to come. We look forward to another busy term ahead.
